Piotr Kaczmarek PhD

Piotr Kaczmarek Ph.D. was born in 1979. I work as a professor assistant in Institute of Control, Robotics and Information Engineering at Poznan University of Technology. Since 2010 I have been the leader of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering group. My main research fields are Human-Machine interfaces utilizing biological signals (such as EMG, MMG, EEG), development of devices for rehabilitation, signal processing and computer vision.

I am an author or co-author of more than 40 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and papers in international conferences, and a member of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. I am also a reviewer for scientific journals in the field of biomedical engineering and physiology (e.g. Journal of Biomechanics, Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology, Journal of Applied Mathematics)

Jakub Tomczyński MSc

I have got my engineering master’s degree in Automation and Robotics in 2014. My thesis, which has been made in a three-person team, has been awarded in numerous competitions. My main interests include electronic and mechanical design, and embedded programming. My research focuses on biosignal processing, such as electromyography.

I  have participated in various research and development projects on ECG bioidentification, anthropomorphic gripper development, and a robot-assisted workspace for heavily handicapped workers. Currently I lead a project on gesture recognition based on forearm EMG signals.

Tomasz Mańkowski MSc

In 2014 I have graduated Poznan University of Technology gaining master’s degree in Automation and Robotics. Since 2015 I am an research-and-teaching fellow in Institute of Control, Robotics and Information Engineering at Poznan University of Technology. In my research I am trying to focus on human-machine interfaces and signal processing, especially on hand posture/kinematics estimation using MARG/IMU sensors. My skills include programming (C/C++, Matlab, Python), electronics and PCB design. I have participated in many research and implementation project.
